Corporate Grooming: 

The Corporate Grooming is a pioneering initiative for BBA students which are delivered by industry experts in an immersive and interactive mode. Launched on 20th Aug 2018 in two batches of thirty students, the program covers multifarious abilities which include presentation skills, public speaking, interpersonal skills, team building, business etiquettes etc which help students to enhance the soft skills thereby improving their career prospects.

​

The Corporate Grooming at Christ College, designed by Management Association lays emphasis on the holistic development of BBA students to prepare skillful & professional communicators to cater to the increasing requirements of Global environment.

 

Management Exhibition: 

Management Association zealously presented a one-day exhibition “Eclectika” on a grand scale on 25th Oct 2018. The event saw young enthusiastic students putting various exhibits comprising of innovative working models & investigation-based projects. The exhibits were indeed an eye opener on various topics related to commercial banking, education system, digital marketing, waste management, stock exchange etc.

​

With an endeavor to promote management attitude among budding students, this exhibition was one of its kind. It was a remarkable event in every way. The exhibition was applauded & appreciated for its novel ideas.

​

Invited Talk:

Guest Talk on “Information Technology- Governance, Risk and Compliance” was organised by Department of Management in association with Department of Commerce on 14th January 2019 for post graduate students of Commerce. The three hours talk was conducted by Mr. Antony Beni J, Relationship Science Pvt. Ltd.

​

Management Fest - ADVAYA-19:

The Management Fest- ADVAYA 2K19 was conducted on 2nd February 2019 in Auditorium. The fest was organised by the third year BBA students for the first- and second-year BBA students. The fest was based on three tracks- Finance, Marketing and HR along with Best Manager and Crazy Ads. It gave a platform for the students to showcase their inert talents.

Outreach Programme:

Outreach programme was organised as a social responsibility activity by Department of Management led by the second-year students on 9th February 2019 in Sri Ramakrishna Seva Ashrama, Hosur. The one day programme was an interactive and fun filled day which was well taken by all. The students collected a total of Rs.10000/- and they gave pens, pencil, ruler, erasers, dictionaries, notebooks along with biscuits, candies and others worth Rs.3500/- for the children. It is their contribution and the heart to give which need to be appreciated.

Food Fest:

Food Fest was organised as a team building and entrepreneurial skill development task by Department of Management on 22nd March, 2019 on Sports Day. The students took care of the display, distribution and collection of cash by themselves. Some experienced profit and some had to incur loss but end of the day they learnt the importance of 4Ps of marketing through the practical sessions.

SCHERZO 2K19:

The fourth edition of Scherzo 2K19 with new topics and style was organised on 5th April 2019 by Department of Management in association with Management Association, CMA. The first prize of Rs.1001/- was given along with the medals to Aishwarya and Madhumitha from I BSc. The second prize winners were Sanio Thomas and Bhavana from III B.Com.

Industrial Visit to TITAN:

The first year BBA students were taken to Titan Industries on 13th April 2019 as a part of the curriculum. The visit was organised to make them aware of practical application of the subjects which they study.

​

Christ Management Association- CMA:

The swearing in ceremony of newly elected office bearers for the academic year 2019-20 was held on 8th August 2019. During the event, the principal congratulated the newly elected members and the office bearers were given the badges by the chief guest of the day, Mr. Thedal Anandan, Founder Thedal App, who is an entrepreneur, social activist, public speaker, politician and engineer.

INFINITO 2K19:

The Management Fest started with a flash mob and declaration of fest by Rev. Fr. Rinoj James, Principal on 5th August 2019. The weeklong fest was organised by the final year BBA students for the first- and second-year BBA students. There were 7 tracks identified on various management topics. The fest culminated with the valedictory function on 8th August 2019.

Teachers Day:

Teachers Day Celebrations were organised in the Department of Management by Christ Management Association on 5th September 2019. The students had planned the event meticulously and executed it in fun filled manner enjoyable to both staff and students. There was cake cutting, games and cultural programmes organised by the students for the teachers during the day. The contributions of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan was also fondly remembered during the teacher’s day celebrations.

​

SCHERZO 2K19:

The First Intercollegiate Business Quiz- SCHERZO 2K19 was organised on 20th September 2019 in Auditorium in collaboration with Management Association under the supervision of staff. Around 32 teams from in and around colleges, PU and Plus Two classes attended the programmes. The teams from Ashok Leyland got first and third prize while Christ PU College bagged second prize. The first prize of Rs.10000/-, second prize of Rs.7000/- and third prize of Rs. 3000/- along with a trophy and certificate were distributed to the winners.

Plant a Tree with us:

The Christ Management Association and Department of Management organised a Green Initiative- Plant A Tree with Us in the college on 4th October 2019. The Green Initiative was an effort to make the campus little greener and fresher. The second year BBA students initiated this event and planted the 80 samplings of various varieties of trees like Mango, Tamarind, Jamun, Silver Oaks etc. around the Christ College ground for the future batches of students.

​

Guest Talk:

Guest Talk on “Intellectual Property Rights” by Mr. Ajil Roy, Software Lead, Alstom was organised by Department of Management on 2nd November 2019. The guest talk was organised to make the students know about the different types of Intellectual property rights and to know about the procedures and benefit of each one.

​

Workshop:

Workshop on “Letter Writing Skills” was organised by Department of Management and conducted by Ms. Krishna P V, Department of Arts on 8th November 2019. The workshop was conducted to make students aware of the different types of letters and basic styles and formats used. Business letters, such as Complaint and Adjustment letters, Banking Correspondence, Sales letter, and Biodata with Covering letter, were explained out with examples and exercises.
