Christ Centre for Indian Knowledge System
Established in the academic year 2024-25 as a tenth-year initiative of Christ College of Science and Management, the Christ Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems (CCIKS) is an innovative hub dedicated to the interdisciplinary exploration, preservation, and dissemination of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS)

Mission

To promote innovative and interdisciplinary research on the multifaceted dimensions of Indian Knowledge Systems.

To preserve, document, and archive the diverse heritage of Indian traditions, practices, and knowledge.

Objectives

To analyze and synthesize Indian Knowledge Systems through interdisciplinary research focusing on their historical, cultural, scientific, and philosophical aspects and to create a comprehensive repository for future academic and societal use.

To apply and integrate Indian Knowledge Systems into modern education curricula and societal practices to address contemporary challenges and foster innovation across disciplines.

To communicate and raise awareness about the significance of Indian Knowledge Systems through workshops, seminars, publications, and community engagement.
Functions

Develop and implement courses, modules, and programs that integrate Indian Knowledge Systems into various academic disciplines.

Facilitate knowledge sharing through workshops, seminars, exhibitions, demonstrations, and lecture series featuring experts in Indian Knowledge Systems.

Preserve and promote indigenous practices in fields like medicine, agriculture, small-scale and cottage industries, and crafts, and apply them to sustainable development initiatives.
